Hi. I'm Norn, or Len if you prefer. I'm 22, female, not a natural blonde, blue-eyed, and very, very Dutch.

I live with my mom and brother in watery Culemborg, the Netherlands, which like most of the country is chiefly famous for its rivers, grass, and illegal immigrants. Like many women my age, I have a troubled relationship with my estranged father, which is to say I'm troubled because he's estranged from reality and he's confused because I'm not. I've got a Saint Bernard named after a video game character, and two chickens named after comic book characters.

I may be somewhat of a geek, as evidenced by the fact that I used to study Media Sciences at the University of Utrecht. Nowadays, I study Journalism at the Fontys Hogeschool in Tilburg. I am a walking, talking encyclopedia of pop culture references. Yay me. Religiously, I'm a Discordian, which means I talk a lot and most of it is very funny and I am very sad that you are going to be turned into a precious Mao Button and distributed to the poor in the Region of Thud.

I like the boys and the girls, which is not likely to be your business in any way, shape or form. I would make a piss-poor feminist, so rather than even trying, I've taken up causing gender-related cognitive dissonance instead.

I've spent a couple of years being tough as nails and dumb as a post, after which shit happened, and I've spent a couple more years being smart like a fox and anxious like Courage, after which more shit happened. It was all very Dawson's Creek. Neither of these approaches turned out to work for me, so as of recently I'm kicking back and trying to find some of that middle ground. Compromise is king, and all that.

- The occasional grouse about my life
- Speed skating and Proper Football chatter, depending on the season
- Talk of StarCraft and GGnet-related incidents
- A lot of cursing, mostly

- Finally, I play a couple of characters over at fandomhigh, which rocks the socks, when I'm not busy driving myself insane over how IC I'm not being. (I am, yes, a total chickenshit about this, and will freely admit so)
- IT'S JOURNALISM.
